Event that may be interest of to NJSWEP members:  EDANJ is extending a special members only-rate to all NJSWEP members for their upcoming EDANJ Breakfast Seminar on the Impact of the 2014 Special Olympics on New Jersey.   In addition, Angela Price from Philly SWEP is planning to organize a group of volunteers for the Special Olympics and if anyone is interested in volunteering

The EDANJ is thrilled to announce Mr. Tom Varga, Senior Vice President of the Special Olympics 2014, as keynote speaker of our upcoming breakfast series: "Eggs and Economics"

Between state and local taxes, hotel accommodations, transportation, entertainment, dining, retail and more, the Special Olympic Games 2014 are expected to stimulate $117.5 million for New Jersey. Additionally, the Games will create jobs to support the needs of approximately 100,000 individuals who will be part of the event. Learn all this and more while enjoying a delicious breakfast and coffee.

EDANJ Officer, Anthony P. Carabelli, Jr. who is the Business Advocate for Mercer County will kick off the day and Mr. Doug Pridgen, Chairman of the Special Olympics of New Jersey Higgins Classic, will share his insights. Learn how these organizations are supporting and preparing for the upcoming Games.

With 4,000 athletes competing in 16 Olympic-style team and individual sports, this is a most exciting time for New Jersey. Besides generating economic activity in our region, the Special Olympic Games 2014 empower the lives of disabled athletes from around the world and promote social justice and acceptance. EDANJ will make a donation box available for any breakfast attendees who want to donate directly to the Special Olympics 2014.
