Langan is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer with significant in situ remediation experience in our Parsippany, NJ office. The successful candidate must possess strong technical and managerial skills, and a professional, objectives-driven demeanor. This individual will serve a key function in managing and designing remediation projects for a wide variety of technically challenging and exciting projects throughout the United States. Experience working at an environmental consulting or contracting firm is also necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

 Evaluate environmental investigation reports with the purpose of selecting remediation technologies;

• Manage junior engineering staff and subcontractors;
• Prepare cost estimates; and
• Perform other duties as requested.

 

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in Environmental Engineering/Science or related area of study;

• EIT or Professional Engineer preferred;
• Proven experience in leading and managing remedial designs and implementation operations;
• 5 or more years of site remediation experience, primarily with in situ technologies, notably with Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE), Multi-Phase Extraction (MPE), Air Sparging, bioremediation and/or in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) as well as vapor mitigation technologies (i.e., active sub-slab depressurization systems) and pump and treat;
• Experience designing and specifying remediation equipment, including P&ID development and assorted design packages;
• Detailed knowledge of in-situ remediation processes and hydrogeology;
• Experience assessing and troubleshooting active remediation systems;
• Experience in managing project/task budgets and field operations;
• Demonstrated ability to work with staff, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities; and
• Excellent communication, report writing, and management skills.
