Langan is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist to join its collaborative Parsippany, NJ office. The successful candidate will be responsible for management and coordination of project tasks, preparing reports and work plans, and assessing remedial strategies. In this role you will have cross-disciplinary opportunities that involve Environmental, Geotechnical, and Civil engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate site data and prepare investigative and remediation technical reports, specifications, and plans;
- Work within regulatory frameworks in NJ and NY to complete complex soil, groundwater, and soil vapor investigations and remediation projects;
- Mentor and Supervise staff during completion of field work and associated report writing; and,
- Coordinate management of site development and remediation projects with internal Geotechnical, Site/Civil, and Natural Resources teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology (Master's degree a plus);
- 6 to 10 years of related local (New Jersey and York State/New York City) environmental experience with knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations and guidance;
- PE or PG certification or relevant certification (for Environmental Scientists) and NJ LSRP license a plus;
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or GIS a plus;
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification;
- Strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and,
- Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation access to remote job site locations.
