Description: BRS, Inc. is seeking a Grants Management Specialist for a part-time position. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing woman-owned firm, with flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home independently. If the candidate is chosen for employment, he or she should ideally be located in greater metropolitan New York City / Philadelphia area.
Responsibilities: Oversight of existing publicly funded grants; track and manage grant budgets; prepare grant proposal and cooperative agreement applications; identify potential funding sources for a variety of projects; fulfill grant reporting requirements; conduct demographic research; attend meetings via conference call or in person; serve as a liaison between clients and federal and state regulatory agencies; and conduct other grant management activities as needed.
Qualifications: The ideal applicant will be able to work independently and will have experience in grant and budget management and grant writing. The ideal applicant will also be able to provide significant contributions in a multidisciplined team approach for our public sector clientele. Understanding of US Environmental Protection Agency grant programs, including the Brownfields Program, and public sector program management experience are plusses.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in environmental studies, planning, public policy, public administration, or a related field is required. The candidates should possess at least two years of experience. Very strong written and verbal skills are required.

Environmental Project Manager Job Opening

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing woman-owned firm, with flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home independently. If the candidate is chosen for employment, he or she should ideally be located in greater metropolitan New York City / Philadelphia
area.
Responsibilities: Project management; oversight of environmental investigation/remediation contractors; grant preparation; request for
proposal preparation; community outreach; management of project budgets; off-site meeting attendance; and serving as a liaison between clients and regulatory agencies involved in redeveloping brownfields and other publicly owned property.
Qualifications: The ideal applicant will be able to work independently and will have experience in grant writing, contractor management, brownfield financing and project management, environmental investigation/remediation, and community development. The ideal applicant will be able to provide significant contributions in multidisciplined team approach to establishing site redevelopment strategies that fulfill acquisition, funding, and strategic planning needs and considerations for our public sector clientele. An understanding and knowledge of technical regulations, subcontractor management, USEPA brownfields program, and public sector program management experience is desired. LSRPs or those pursuing LSRP license are encouraged to apply
