Growing Great Women in the Garden State Award

Each year, NJSWEP presents the "Growing Great Women in the Garden State Award" at our annual Gala to an individual that identifies as a woman who:

  • Engages professionally in the field of environmental protection, conservation, or research;
  • Encourages and promotes the leadership, achievement, and professional development of women in these fields; and
  • Dedicates time, in a multi-faceted way (outside of professional responsibilities), to connect and share knowledge or expertise with their local or special interest communities.

NJSWEP selects great women in all sectors – government, academia, private, and non-profit – and encourages nominations from diverse categories, such as: science, law, consultancy, academia, and engineering, among others.

To submit a GGWGS award nomination, please complete an GGWGS Award Nomination Form. Award nominees are not required to be members of NJSWEP.  Nominators should be NJSWEP members. The application period for 2024 is now open and will close on November 20, 2023.
