The Members of NJSWEP
The New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Women Environmental Professionals has members from diverse areas within the environmental field. We lend our experiences and expertise to help promote the professional development of women in the field. The membership of NJSWEP consists of students and environmental professionals with positions in some of the following:
- Academia;
- Corporations;
- Environmental Consulting and Remediation Firms;
- Laboratories;
- Government Agencies;
- Law Firms; and
- Non-Profit Groups
Benefits of NJSWEP Membership
NSWEP is one of several chapters of a growing, national organization created to develop and enhance career, educational and personal goals of its members. Some of the many benefits of membership include:
- Regularly scheduled events that not only provide opportunities for educational growth, but also facilitate networking with other environmental professionals;
- A member-only directory;
- Periodic updates on important environmental regulatory issues that include opportunities to meet with regulatory officials to discuss new and proposed regulations;
- Opportunities to share information and ideas with your peers on cutting-edge technologies and regulatory initiatives;
- The opportunity to market your company to other members by sponsoring a luncheon or special event; and
- Mentoring and community service opportunities.
At NJSWEP, we are happy to host a variety of events and offer reduced registration fees for our members. In addition to traditional environmental regulatory forums and workshops, NJSWEP events have also included tours of alternative energy facilities, recycling facilities, guided hikes, wine tastings, and our annual Gala.
