NJSWEP Southern New Jersey Guided Hike of Historic Smithville Park

Join us for a guided hike/tour of the Historic Smithville Park!

A hike is planned the same day within North Jersey. Please sign up HERE if you'd like to attend the hike in North Jersey.

This is a fun and educational hike/tour (guided by a Burlington County Park Naturalist) covering a 2 mile loop where our guide will share insights from the trail with nature interpretation and site history. The trails are a combination of natural terrain and crushed aggregate with stairs included (this trail is not ADA accessible but there is a turnaround point if stairs need to be avoided).

Tour starts at 10 AM. Please meet at the Butterfly Pavilion for the start of the tour. The tour is approximately 2 hours long. Please wear sturdy walking shoes/hiking boots and bring water. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars. After the tour, we will play a Nature Jeopardy game while enjoying snacks and beverages at the Butterfly Pavilion. 

After the event you are welcome to stay at Smithville to explore other trails, as well as art galleries at the Worker's House and Mansion Annex.

Location: Smith Woods 35 East Railroad Avenue, Eastampton, NJ   (not to be confused with the "other Smithville" in Atlantic County)
