Overview of the NJEDA Incentive Programs for Brownfields
Presenter: Elizabeth Limbrick, LSRP, Director, Brownfields
and Sustainable Systems, NJEDA
The NJEDA offers several tax credit programs for brownfields. The Brownfields Redevelopment Incentive Program is a transferable tax credit program that funds the cleanup of brownfield sites around the state to ultimately transform these contaminated sites into community assets. The goal of this program is to provide monetary incentives for developers to remediate these blighted properties and put them back into productive reuse to stimulate the economy and revitalize neighborhoods. This program is designed to be a pre-development tool which will enhance project financing on these challenging sites to return them to productive reuse. The Brownfield Redevelopment Incentive Program will be opening another application window later this year. This webinar will also provide an introduction to NJEDA’s Historic Preservation Tax Credit Program and Aspire real estate development tax credit program. Attend this webinar to find out more about how these NJEDA programs can support your projects.
