Transforming Brownfields: A Path Towards Environmental and Social Justice
The Office of Brownfield and Community Revitalization (OBCR) would like to invite you to a special event being hosted by NJEDA. This virtual conference is free and will discuss “Transforming Brownfields: A Path Towards Environmental and Social Justice” Monday, October 26, 2020; 2:00pm
This webinar will feature NJDEP's Deputy Commissioner Olivia Glenn discussing New Jersey's recently passed landmark environmental justice legislation.
A round table discussion with Passaic Mayor Hector Lora and Trenton Mayor W. Reed Gusciora will follow, focusing on how communities have long suffered the negative impacts of contaminated, industrial and commercial properties, and how transformation of those properties can create opportunities for social equity and environmental justice. See http://bit.ly/TransformingBFs for registration!
In other news ….OBCR will be restarting our Quarterly Brownfield Roundtable. Please put a hold on your calendars for December 8 from 9-12. The meeting will be virtual. Details will be provided soon.
